So this is a new idea I had, (well I say I had it was kind of inspired by Morty a few months ago), to generate a little interest and participation on the forums.

At least once a week, maybe more depending how quickly each picture is guessed, a new picture puzzle will be posted in this section of the forum.

The picture will be of either an MTW member, a famous celebrity or an item.

In the first instance the picture will be mostly covered apart from one or two squares, like so....



Any registered MTW member can then reply in the thread guessing at who or what they think is hidden.

YOU CAN GUESS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE ONLY NOT IN SUCCESSION, THERE MUST BE AT LEAST ONE OTHER GUESS MADE BEFORE YOU CAN GUESS AGAIN.

In other words, if Purple Dragon guesses, she can't guess and guess and guess again, she could guess, then hntbarbie could guess, then Purple Dragon would be free to guess again.

The first person to correctly guess who or what it is will be awarded 5 points.

Anyone who guesses more than once in succession will be docked 3 points.

If no-one has guessed correctly after 24 hours then more sections of the picture will be revealed...



And this will continue daily until someone guesses correctly like so...







The contest will run weekly, (or more depending on how quick each picture is guessed), and a table posted after each round of the game so we can see who is leading on points.

After 3 months the MTW member with the most points will be awarded a prize in the shape of either an MTW premium membership or MTW Merchandise.



OK since we kicked this off and it's quite popular I thought I should add to this thread about the prize picture puzzles.

Every so often one of the puzzles will be a prize puzzle. It's exactly the same as an ordinary puzzle in so much as you guess as usual and the first person with the correct answer gets a spot prize for it. It won't be an expensive prize necessarily and probably along the lines of an MTW Fridge Magnet or similar, (obviously I won't keep sending fridge magnets if the same person keeps winning it'll vary otherwise they'd have a shitload of MTW fridge magnets).

Then every now and then there will be a shareapic treasure hunt picture prize puzzle which will involve searching through the shareapic account to find the correct picture. The rules for how these puzzles will work can be found by clicking HERE.

So that's the 3 different types of puzzle....normal....prize and shareapic treasure hunt prize.

I'll always state which kind of puzzle it is in the topic heading and in the first post of the particular thread.



Another little rule change.

In each puzzle I will post and update the list of incorrect guesses.

It will appear in the first post of each game like so.....



If you then make a guess of someone or something that has previously been guessed and put in the list as an incorrect guess, (which means that you didn't read the list and are therefore wasting my time in doing it in order to help you), then you will lose 1 point from your points total each time that you do it.

So pay attention to what has been guessed before you!

Well like I said it was kinda from something Morty suggested a few months back just he was looking to implement it in a different way.

I just figured this would be fun and generate some posts while getting people involved and giving people a chance to win a prize along the way.

Who knows, from the $$'s generated from picture views I may offer spot prizes along the way for certain puzzles.

Yeah...when I was first trying it I was working on the theory of 2 or 3 sqyares a day and not wanting it to go on too long, but if they're gonna get guessed too quickly and easily then I'll change it up a little.

It's a work in progress right now.

Although #3 seems to have people guessing...or should that be Quessing?
