Well after that rant I guess I'm due. My father was the first to have Gulf War Illness on his death certificate. He was in the first Gulf War in the First Cavalry Division (they have a new name now) 3/32 Armored Battalion. He was wounded before the ground war even started in kuwait by a suicide bomber- the bomber driving a ford f-250 loaded with bombs hit my dad's humvee, the explosives did not detonate. (Next part edited to get to the point). He suffered many problems and eventually had 80% disability. He died in 1999, and my family started to fight for a legislation to help other veterans, which passed with the help of Cong. Manzullo. It was signed by Bush, and I started to feel loyaltly to him, before I was indifferent. Then I learned more about what actually happened.
When Bush said "[Saddam] Tried to kill my father", I was pissed. Through the red tape the cause of my father's death may not have been caused by conditions in Iraq, or at least solely by those. I am still unconvinced what actually was the final cause. You say he tried to kill your father? Well I was told that he did kill my father. Or for all I know it was GWB Sr. And for what? For us to stop once we got the point across to Sadam that if he touches our oil we'll attack him? Then we just start over again later, causing more death and destruction? Yes this view may be biased, but god damnit this is just my one point, and my one point that most people wouldn't know about.

Videos were funny. Bush fan or not, poking fun at anyone is funny to me irregardless of my political views which are pretty damn non-existent.

All I got is this......mind you I could give a fuck who the president is, we're here in America and we have to support our government, don't have to like it, but I think we need to back it up. But the following words aren't in support of Bush, just my personal opinions.

Our President doesn't run this country by himself. He is a figure head that gets more votes in on decisions than the single other members that help make those decisions. Bush ain't doing whatever all of you think he's doing all by himself. So you can't hate the one guy. And just because the guy can't speak doesn't mean he's a moron. Look at whatever that genious dude is that rolls around in the wheel chair talking to people through a Speak n' Spell. Can't remember his name right now. That dude is probably one of the world's greatest minds. But he can't talk either. Whatever.....

And kase, I wasn't there so I don't know, just commenting from the little information in your reply above...... When he said SADDAM killed your father, he meant the decisions and directions that Saddam had taken his people is what killed your father. A result of Saddam's actions. Its like if a refrigerator falls out of a 3rd floor window and squashes your mom. Sure, you can say the fridge killed your mom. Or you could say the weight of the fridge killed your mom. Or you could say the person that pushed it out the window killed your mom. However you look at it, its the result of the person's actions that caused the death.

I salute your father for serving this country, irregardless of his opinions or beliefs on what he was doing or the results of what he had done. He supported our country and you should be proud and focus on your father's support of this country and not the results of his death or what was said after his death. Just like how the vet's from Vietnam don't get much praise. They should get the most in my opinion. They were fighting one fucked up fight yet they kept doing it because they stood by our government and answered the call of duty.
