The Riches Season 1

I have just finished watching season 1, and i really liked this show. I dont think it got advertsied enough nor do i think many watched it, but i thought il make a thread about it, and hope someone out there knows what im on about, or maybe you will download it at somepoint!

The Riches follows a traveling family of con artists. Dahlia (Minnie Driver), the family's mother, has just completed a 2-year stint in prison. As well as dealing with Dahlia's drug problem, the family begins to question their marginal lifestyle. Along with their three children, they assume the identities of a normal, high-income family.

Stars: Minnie Driver, Eddie Izzard.

I was really surprised at 'Minnies' acting, ive never seen anything of hers before, but i have always been familiar with her name. Same goes for 'Eddie'.

'The Riches' is about a 'traveller' family, or what we UK people call 'Gypsies'. They steal and cheat and lie for a living, to get by. They live in trailer parks and dont have no I.D's.
An unfortuneate accident happened and they found out, the victims were on their way to their new housing estate/home. They found out the victims names and started to live by them. Pretended to be them to neighbours and to get jobs too. The victims were also rich! Which was a bonus as the house was bought online so noone became suspicous!

What i liked most about this programme was how they got by, their little 'tricks' e.g they have a special code and language if they think they are in danger of getting caught. Eddie's character is great at thinking up excuses on the spot, getting out of tricky situations and knowing the right things to say!

Season 2 i think is airing soon, and i cant wait to see what happens next. Season 1 only had 13 episodes, they crammed a lot in, but it was great and enjoyable.

I tried watching this a couple of times and while I'll watch and listen to Minnie no matter what she was doing, I just didn't enjoy this show at all

I might give this a look. To be honest Minnie Driver annoys me though, I love the movie "Grosse Pointe Blank" but she's the one part I hate about it.

On the plus side though this show has Eddie Izzard and I think he's funny as fuck so I may have to have a watch of it when I find time.

Season 2 has just started airing last night, which is great to see. Im just trying to kick my internet to download it!

Im not sure if its her real voice but does she put on her accent in this show?
