Lights go out on ‘Las Vegas’

In the immortal words of Kenny Rogers, you’ve got to know when to fold ‘em. And after five years on the air, Las Vegas is doing just that.

According to TVGuide.com, NBC opted not to renew the drama about the staff of the fictional Montecito Resort and Casino.

This, after Tom Selleck was brought in to replace James Caan for the fifth season; rather than injecting a Magnum of energy to the series, ratings fell off in the double digits.

And, in the grand tradition of The Jeffersons and Girlfriends, Las Vegas won’t be getting a proper series finale. That’s right – last Friday’s episode was the last.

That kinda sucks...although I gotta be perfectly honest that I hated the show since James Caan left, never missed an episode when he was in it and just lost interest when Tom Selleck joined the show.

They killed it for me when they moved it to friday nights here.

Who sits home Friday night to watch tv?

It was always on Thursday nights over here,...we haven't had the new Season 5 yet but I've been downloading them and watching them.
