| Lusting Over Leelee | So this show just started in the UK last week and being a Sci-Fi fan I checked it out and it's pretty good actually. I thought at first it was going to be a kind of "Quantum Leap" rip off, but it's different enough to stand on it's own identity. I've downloaded all 8 episodes that have aired so far and have only watched the first three, (I'm about to watch number 4 right after I post this), I just hope that the rest are as good as the first 3 have been. The basic premise of the show, in case you haven't seen it or heard of it, is that a newspaper reporter suddenly finds he's...well time travelling for want of a better explanation. He keeps getting a headache and the next thing he knows he's in 1974 or 1989 and he has to do or save someone...which makes it sound like Quantum leap..I know, but it's not as he keeps returning home again and then going back to a different period in the life of the person that he's "tracking". It's interesting seeing what he's got to do, while seeing how he copes with this sudden change in his life and how it affects all aspects of his life in the present day, like his marriage, his job etc. I guess if you like Sci-Fi, it's one to watch, it's a lot more story driven than action driven, but it is really good...oh and he's also discovered that the girlfriend that he thought was dead...isn't and she's "travelling" too, and as she's played by Moon Bloodgood that can only be a good thing...(the fact that she's not dead that is). ![]() I just hope it gets enough viewers to keep it going and that it doesn't end up with the same fate as so many shows these days and get axed mid-season or fall casualty to the writers strike that will inevitably kill off some of the newer shows. |
