Why would "mark callawayy" say that "mozilla firefox is superior to IE"???

Who exactly told you that? What a crock of shit. IE is still by far the best browser out there.. hands down. Mozilla Firefox is getting better .. but it definitely has not caught up. It is well known to have rendering problems with many standard HTML tags.

I use Firefox from time to time, but it's not my default browser. As you have said, it's got a ways to go before it can surpass IE. I've never bought into the 'Microsoft is evil' propaganda. Just because you do something well doesn't make you bad. Hopefully the recent court rulings will set the pace for an easier integration between the browsers.
