The Irish celebrate St. Patrick's Day--processions and booze. The Welsh celebrate St. David's Day--Eisteddfods. The Scots Celebrate St. Andrew's Day as many ways as they can. How do the English celebrate St. George's Day? :bouncer: |

| Lusting Over Leelee | For some reason quietly and with little sense of National Pride. I think that Tony Blair is trying to faze it out altogether in the hope that we won't notice he's handing over sovreignity over to the Europeans, (or given recent events with the French & Germans, George Bush). It's something that annoys the bejesus outta me. As a Nation we have no sense of National Pride regarding our Country's heritage. I'm off to get my soapbox out now.......

Good answer--I've often wondered why a country like England that has shaped more than half the world--doesn't celebrate its own national day and doesn't seem to have pride in itself. It has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Follow your spirit; and, upon this charge Cry 'God for Harry! England and Saint George! Happy belated St. George's Day |
