Help me please....

I'm trying to install Yahoo! messenger, that i had no problem with and once it was done, but when i went to sign in on the messenger, it wouldn't let me.
My account works fine, i can check my inbox and everything! Change settings, shit like that; but for some reason the messenger wouldn't let me sign in, so i uninstalled it and going to try to instal it again, if it doesn't work the second time around! I think i'm going to be having some serious difficulties, any suggestions?

When you say it won't "let you login" what do you mean? What's the error message or whatever that is displayed?

It says "we were unable to sign you into yahoo messenger."(can not Connect)

At the very bottom of the window that pops up it says, LAN/Firewall Users: Setup proxy-Button...If you know the proxy settings, you can configure them here.

That's all it says, nothing about errors or anything like that...?
