I have a foam microphone cover, the problem is that I don't think it's the microphone picking up noise, it's just noise being recorded. I've been recording on the same laptop for a good 2 years and the problems are a month maybe two old. I could try the boost option and play with the settings a bit more. I used to need the boost with my old mic, but with my new one I may not and that probably would help. I recorded a song today tho and was getting pretty descent sound out of it.

Don't have. And my laptop only has one mic jack. And thanks for offer but like I said, I got a laptop.
