Smilies?

Maybe I missed it somewhere but what happened to the smilies? emoticons? whatever you call them. I haven't been around a lot lately so maybe I missed it

they disappeared when the new site was brought online, I'm sure than when morty has some time (around 200

he will bring them back

those bad boys and many more are still there. It's to do with the change over to vbulletin boards.

What you need to do is.....

Click on the link in the top left hand that says 'User CP'. That will take you into the user control panel for your membership.

Then under 'Settings & Options' you need to click on 'Edit options'. This will present you with various options that can be amended to suit your personal needs.

At the very bottom there is a box headed 'Miscellaneous Options' If you click on the little drop down box thingy you'll be presented with two options. There is a third WYSIWYG option, but for whatever reason that's not available.

Anyhoo, the first (and I think default) option is just a basic text box which I'm guessing that you have. If you select the other option which is 'Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls' and then save the changes. Then the next time that you post you should have a box to the right with all the smilies in and if you click the 'more' link underneath, you'll be taken to another window with a load more.

Of course, if this isn't what you're talking about, then that's all a load of shit, so just ignore me.

If you've followed the advice in my post (and remembered to save the changes of course), then your reply box should look something like this....

Then you can either click on the smilies to the right or click on the 'More' link and it will open up a list of all the available smilies.

It won't display them however, if you use the 'Quick Reply' option.
