how many of the 612 things were actually cookies, and how many were adaware etc...

Also, check system restore, it has a nasty habit of making ad ware restoreable.

I set my system restore to minimum (200mb) and set browsers history to 1 day, with flushing of all cahed data to immediate.

Also check the size of the Java cache and set it low.

Navigation:

Click: Start-->Settings-->Control Panel, System-->System restore tab-->disk space usage

Like I said I set mine to 1% ie 200MB...

You can flush system restore by placing a checkmark in the box beside the phrase "Turn off System Restore", then reboot the computer, this will erase EVERYTHING in system restore. After reboot, go back to "Start-->Settings-->Control Panel, System-->System restore tab" & uncheck the "Turn off System Restore" box. You can then set the size limit to what you want, it will probably prompt you to make a restore point, go ahead and make a restore point.

That's it.

Alright Thanx. It was on Max at 12%. I only had an option to put it at 0% or 2%. So I went with 2%.

screw system restore. Any time I ever could have used system restore I couldn't even boot into windows. And I have Microsoft Antispyware also, but after the previous reinstall I'm using Linux as much as possible. Only problem I have so far is I have to run alsasound every boot or I have no sound, but there is a way to fix that permanently. I'm just too lazy.

Good you just use your Linux and stay the hell away from Windows, We don't need your kind using and screwing around with the software
