Thread: Where'd he go?

    Where'd he go?

Well this past weekend disappeared on me. Was planning on working with MTW and ended up never even visiting the site. Either Thursday or Friday of last week I decided I needed to extend my overhead storage units in my carport all the way down to the ground. Obviously for more storage space. Got up Saturday morning drove back down to my jobsite since I forgot my power saw there, drove back home, took a few last measurements and then went off to the hardware store to buy some wood. Well, what I thought was going to take about 4 hours to build ended up taking about 12 hours to build. By the time I got started Saturday and then had to quit early to go to a dinner for my GF's mom's birthday, I dragged the thing out to Sunday afternoon. Biggest part that blew my time frame out was my dad not having a nail gun. For some reason I thought he had a nail gun but he only had a brad nailer. Which I knew he had because I was planning on using the brad nailer for attaching the exterior plywood to the framing. But ended up manually swinging the hammer for a few hours in a cooped up space for most of the framing that took way too damn long. shit!

But that was that. House work blows sometimes like that.

Oh ya, on Saturday when I went by the jobsite in the morning, I talked to my other Superintendent who was covering the Saturday shift for me. He normally does the afternoon shifts on the site but we take turns with the Saturday work. Anywho, when I was leaving I glanced over to the parking lot and I see the fricken electrician being a fucking moron. The journey is driving the skytrak, which for those that don't know is an overgrown dirt buggy on steroids with a fork lift attachment that booms out to lift things and put them in higher places or vice versa. Anyway, the jackass was just hauling ass across the parking lot which is a BIG safety no no. But worst part of it was he had the apprentice standing on the forks holding on for dear life riding the fork like it was a fucking surf board. One slip of the foot and that kid would of got run over and killed instantly. These skytraks weigh more than a Hummer with a load of bricks in the trunk. So I get on the radio and let my side-kick Superintendent know what I just witnessed and I kept driving on my way home and let him rip them a new asshole. He later gave me a call and let me know what all he said and what happened. He ripped them good.

So come Monday morning, I'm telling the foreman what is two guys did on Saturday and that guy that was driving the skytrak is standing there. And the dude has the stupidity to say "Ya I know, but I figured it was a Saturday and ...." I lit up. Cut the fucker off right there and fired back that I didn't give a fuck what day of the week it was. That was totally unsafe and if I catch him doing anything remotely close to harming someone's life again on this project I will permanently throw him off.

    Stupid mother fucker!

    Anywho..........

Want to say thanks to Ernie for sending the buttload of traffic over to MTW the last couple of days. Got some serious flow through the site. Was nice. Make sure you guys visit his site. Its a good read and some nice pics of boobies once in awhile too. www.EHOWA.com Very good stuff. Make sure you read the article about his clean colon. He's got a link on the left side column of his site in the MY THOUGHTS ON section. Very entertaining stuff.

Well, I'm done snacking so that means my break is over. Tootles!

He should be more careful when choosing bars. It likely reflects as much on him as it does on the guys he was drinking with. There are lots of bars I wouldn't go near. I sort of enjoyed his site, though, and he has a lot of exciting pictures in the various stuff that connects to him. I joined to read some of the forums. Some of the comments are pretty immature, but it's interesting to see what the young are thinking about.
