The end is here! sorta....

Alright, February 2nd has arrived and this project is pretty much over. They were going to open for business today but decided to wait until tomorrow. Which is fine by me. For those that haven't been following along or have forgotten, I just completed building a Men's & Women's spa at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Came in at 4AM this morning to do the final touches. Which was having the plumber hook up 4 sinks to the new stone counters that were installed yesterday afternoon. Damn stone counters.

Everything was setup for Saturday morning. Stone counters were supposed to show up and be installed at 8AM Saturday morning. Plumber showed up at 7AM with me to remove the sinks from the temporary counters we had so that we could install the new stone counters. 8AM rolls around, no stone guy. 8:30, nope. 9, nope. 9:30, nope. Placing more phone calls and getting nothing but voicemail. 10, 10:30, 11, 12 noon finally the bastard calls us. "Um.....errr.....sorry the glue for the trim piece isn't dry yet. Can't install it until tomorrow." WHAT THE FUCK!?!?! Fucking asshole couldn't pick up the phone at 7AM when he was at his shop and realized the glue was wet still? I think he was full of shit personally. So we send the plumber home and ask him to come back Monday morning at 4AM because he said there was no way he was coming into work on Super Bowl Sunday. So that was fine with me. He's a realible guy.

Sunday morning, here at 8AM again because the stone guy said he'd be here between 8 and 10. 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, finally the motherfucker returns our phone calls. "Um......errrrr........sorry, the glue wasn't dry but now it is. We'll be there in an hour." Wanting to cuss his fat ass out but knowing he's got us by the balls since we need these stone counters installed, we agree and say we'll see him in an hour. Calls back 10 minutes later, "Um....errrr......ya, we won't be able to make it till 3:30 at the earliest." FUCK! My partner said he'd stick around and for me to go home since I was the one coming in at 4AM this morning. I agreed and went home. Called my partner at 4PM and he said the counters showed up and they are installing them and all looks good. FINALLY!

Show up this morning, and there they are. Thank goodness. Installed the sinks, put some white caulking around the edges and everything looks peachy. Other than the fact the counters are fucking ugly as shit. But they look the way they are supposed. They're just not my thing.

But WTF, we did it, project is complete. Only thing left are 3 custom doors that won't be here for another week or so. But the temp doors we have at the moment look just fine. Nobody even really knows the difference.

And that's my story. So how the hell have all of you been. I should be able to get back into updating the site more often now that I hope to be working some decent hours for a little while. We'll see how that goes though. My luck, they'll toss me on another project with too many hours. If they even have a project to toss me on.

Anywho, I gotta go make sure my mess from this morning is all cleaned up.
