After logging on to the site as a registered user and not signing off and then back on, will I be able to see a NEW reply? Or will I have to refresh?

You do not have to log out & back in to see new stuff.

Just hit the Forum link at the top of the page to reload and see if new stuff appears.

Also, whenever you exit the site, if you still have UNSEEN things but you are going to look at them later and you don't want the little NEW STUFF icon from disappearing, hit the MAIN link so you go to the Main page of the site and then close out my site. Don't just hit the X when in the forum. It will mark everything READ and you won't know what's new the next time you come in.
