Jezza Goes To University!

Ok so this isn't really gonna be a long ass ramble, ('cos I'm drinking and halfway through the Lethal weapon Quadrilogy right now), but I kinda said I would ramble about this and so, as I really don't like to be a liar, figured I should.

Jezza came home from school about a month ago with this letter and said that one of his teachers had called him to one side and his first reaction was have I done now...(which itself is pretty funny as he really is a parent's dream pretty much..no real hassle, does as he's told and blah, blah, blah)...so anyhoo, it was to give him a letter to bring home for us to give permission for him to go to Edinburgh University for 3 days at the end of June.

Apparently it's a program that they do to get kids interested in further education etc and to give them a look at what life away from home can be like and apparently there was only like 4 or 5 people from his school that were being asked if they wanted to go based on who the teachers thought would best benefit from the experience and also who would best represent the school..and jezza was one of those 4 or 5.

Now no doubt I've got all the fucking facts wrong and I'm sure I'll be corrected when he gets home on Thursday night.

So we got a text message from him earlier on tonight saying he was there safe and everything and telling us where he was staying while there and here's a look at the place...

..so to say we're proud of the swotty little bastard would be an understatement..just kinda weird how quiet the house is without hearing him swearing at the PS3 every few minutes..

I bawled my ass off at the Denver mall when Cheyenne was accepted to college.. It really does make you happy to knoe your kid Is gonna do alright !!!!!!
