Well, this weekend I had the great pleasure of spending the weekend in the hospital. Not for myself, but for Caleb. Saturday morning at around 2:00 a.m. Caleb woke me up complaining of a spliting headache and just not being able to sleep at all. So, I had him check his blood pressure and the reading said 210/131...

We immediately got dressed I called my parents and asked them to watch the girls for us and we headed down the mountain to the heart hospital. After waiting 3 hours in the ER we finally got called back. They ran all kinds of tests and told us he was going to have to stay over night. When the EKG came back the doctor told us that the left side of Caleb's heart is thickening and the heart valve that pushes out the blood is stiff, so it would be dangerous for them to lower his blood pressure too fast.

I think I cried so much I'm not capable of crying for at least a year. So, now we just have to monitor his blood pressure and they are going to be sending him to a kidney specialist to see if that's what's causing his blood pressure to sky rocket.

But, the weekend couldn't have gotten any worse until his mother decided to come down. She was hassling the nurses and just being, well herself. I pulled her aside and told her the nurses are not doctors they do not know every fucking thing so please leave them alone. Well, after working herself all in a tissy she went to squirt some instant hand sanitizer in her hands and it shot up right into her eyes and she fell backwards and cracked her head agaisnt the wall. So, needless to say she made it about herself once again, but I don't even know why I am surprised you would think I would be used to it by now.

Caleb is doing fine now. He will be going back to work tomorrow and his blood pressure is evening off. Well, I hope everyone else's weekend was better than mine.

Yeah, well I guess I spoke too soon because Caleb's been admitted into the hospital again. They are going to be keeping him for 3 days this time. I need to think positive... He's in the best possible place and hopefully all of my bitchassness lit a fire under the doctor's asses to find out what the problem is.

Actually, I haven't been able to get naked in front of him Maxi for almost a week. Sex is out of the question for the time being... God Damn It.

On a serious note, Tracy I'll let you know if I need you up here. Between my sisters and the grandparents I think I should be fine. I don't have your number so call me tomorrow and I'll let you know what's up.

First chance I've had to actually read this with all the crap going on in our house...that sucks like fuck.

I have no doubt that they'll figure it out but I'm kinda with Max on the whole blood pressure issue...hell just thinking about you nekkid has shot my blood pressure up..

Well, he's been home since Friday afternoon and his blood pressure is staying good and now that they have him on migraine medication his headaches are not as severe. We still have a neurologist and kidney doctor to go too, but I'm hoping I won't be taking him to the hospital again any time soon. Oh, yeah he received a letter from an x-ray a while back of his ankle... turns out he will be needing another surgery to replace a broken screw... And if this hasn't been stressful enough, for added fun Caleb's fathers congestive heart failure is acting up and he might have to go down to the hospital... So, instead of killing myself because I figure at this rate that would be the easiest way to deal with all of this fucking nonsense I get to have a shot at quitting my cigerattes. I have come to the conclusion that Caleb's family is cursed and I am giving serious thought to moving away again. Yiiiippppeeee...
