    Ramble Life slowly coming back

Well, its me again. The guy that this place is named after. Sometimes known as "Morty".

    I suck

So, things have been go go go for me at work and also doing the teaching of 2 classes at nights and blah blah blah, just been busy. Well things are winding down. Last night I told one of the main guys at the Apprenticeship school I teach at that this will be my last semester for awhile. Going to take a break. I need the money but at the same time I need my life. So come June I won't be teaching nights any more. I'll just have my normal day job as an electrician. Hopefully....

Shit's way scary at work these days. Here all of us that have been on the hospital project I'm on have been thinking we're good to go, no concerns on what the economy does, we're golden. Well, we would have been if California wasn't so fucked over financially on the government side. We got notice on Friday that they need us to stop. The project is to come to a halt.

WTF!!! We're in the middle of building this multi-million dollar hospital and they want us to stop? Everyone is freaking out of course, guys worrying about if they are going to be keeping their job, etc. I'm not too worried for mine but I feel for others that aren't locked in as well as I am. My company has been struggling to find other jobsites to move the guys to but its hard to find homes for over 100 guys. They're managing and relocating guys to other jobsites but of course some guys had to get laid off. Luckily I wasn't involved in deciding who gets cut for my project, but still scary. A few of us are still going to stay at the project and our company is just going to foot the bill apparently just to make sure we close out everything properly and get all of our ducks in a row. But who knows, things can change at any moment. Latest word is the project will start back up in a few months when the state starts up the funding again. But that's all hear-say. I'm pretty much out of the loop on alot of this stuff so I can't even confirm the parts I've been told. But its a big deal obviously.

Um............ what else............. my mother-in-law has had a stroke recently. That was a little scary for the family I guess. But she's doing better, yet still in the hospital. Starting rehabilitation this past week and moving along with it. Hopefully things improve. We'll see how it goes when she finally gets home in a few weeks. The lady is pretty fricken stubborn (like her daughters). Hopefully she follows the steps and does what she's suppose to recover more.

    And then for MTW...

Economy has tanked, which means advertisers are stopping advertising, which means my income for MTW has come to a screaching hault. MTW is officially costing me money again. Sucking my wallet dry. So big decisions ahead. I just changed my hosting plan to get it on to a cheaper plan, and I'm damn close to reaching my limits, but hoping I can keep it under and not have to pay for more. But even now its still expensive every month.

I'm hoping with my time starting to free up, with there not being overtime anymore and stopping the teaching soon, I'll be able to start shaping MTW up the way I've been telling myself I needed to for the longest time. Hopefully this leads to get traffic up a little and a little more attractive to possible advertisers that can still afford to advertise.

    We'll see though.

And then in 2 weeks I fly out to Austin, Texas to join up with TheChump for another Flatstock event. Help him sell some awesome playing cards and more importantly, help promote his first book. And let me tell you, this book is fucking awesome. I'm very proud and happy for him. This book is going to be a huge success. You can check out his book here and maybe even Pre-order one. On top of all that rambling, I'm actually hoping to get back into my rambling. I miss releasing the stupidity from my brain and thinking deep thoughts on completely ridiculous bullshit stuff that holds no value or worth. Thus applies to MTW perfectly.

Until then, as my friend CableMonkey (who I gotta call and keep forgetting) says, KEEP A COOL STOOL!
