OK so it's a new year and we have some new members who look like they're not only gonna post but also participate in things, so let's see if we can't get some weekly arcade tournaments under way for 2009...I'll do it for 6 months in total so there's plenty of points to be won.

For those that are new it'll work like this...

Each week, generally on a Monday, a new tournament will be set up in the arcade.

A post will be made in this section telling you what that particular weeks game is.

You can go and practice it to your heart's content, (if you're an MTW Premium member), or until you hit the daily limit of plays if you're not...here's where that Premium membership comes in handy.

The scoring for each tourney will be as follows:

Players
1 point for playing
1 point for each person you beat

Overall Winner
5 points for an overall win

3 points deducted for a DQ

A graph will be posted in this thread and updated weekly so you can see how well or badly you are doing.

Each week the tourney will be in available in the Tournaments Section of the arcade and you simply click the register button to be included in the first group of 8.

If more people want to join in after the initial 8 slots are full then you can reply in the thread that will be posted in the contest section announcing that weeks tournament and a second group will be created once we have enough people to take part.

A prize will be awarded to the overall winner at the end of July which will be in the form of some rather marvellous MTW Merchandise.

If more people want to join in after the initial 8 slots are full, reply to this thread and we'll get a second group going...but please remember if you do join in...play your games, if you forget, you get DQ'd after 4 days and lose 3 points.
