Thread: SUV question

    Question SUV question

I got an SUV, it has 4wd. or at least that's what they told me- it has an electronic button on the dashboard to switch it over, the things on the wheel turn to lock with no problem. But when I push the button, nothing lights up- is it electrical? what else could it be? I tried it out, outside of town on a dirt road today-my back wheel spun, but no 4wd- cuz i know you're not suppose to turn it on on dry pavement- any ideas?????

**even though i was in 2wd i still had fun going through the dirt roads and 3-4 inches of mud.
It's only funny until someone gets hurt.... then it's hilarious.

Yuppers dont think its workin cause you should have had LOTS of fun !!! I love my four wheel drive..

Try to turrn it on on regular dry roads.. It is working if you start feeling like someone is rear ending you !! I know I left it on once and was driving home no one behind me but I swore someone had rear ended me like a bunch of times...Jason went and looked at the car and it was the 4wd !! You should feel the same thing if you turn it on and just sit there on the brake for a few minutes..Mine also has no light to tell it is on. But it is not a button.Thats strange

I hope you get it worked out..What fun is a SUV or Truck without it ???

    Yep it would...

The only true 4 wheel drive is any vehicle that actually locks the differentials on both axles so all 4 wheels work in unison...

Most have limited slip differentials on both axles... so yes you can spin a wheel.
