Refrigerator?

OK.....if something is frozen, defrosted and frozen again it is refrozen.

If something is knocked down and built again, it is rebuilt or reconstructed.

If something is renewed, (like an MTW premium membership), it's done again, taken out again..renewed.

So why is a Refrigerator called a Refrigerator?

Does that mean everything in there has already been fridgerated and then by my placing it in there it has become Refrigerated?

Maybe I should sleep more...............

Yup it sure does as it it was in the grocery store here is was kept in the coolers..It has to be refridgerated when you get home..Makes sense to me !!!

But what if you bought something off the shelf and then put it in the refrigerator...it was never frigerated in the first place then.

And....

What is the thing in the store called? Is that a refrigerator? If so shouldn't the thing at home be called a rerefrigerator and how was it frigerated before it went in the refrigerator at the store?

Most people I know call it a fridge as well.....but fridge is just an abbreviation of refrigerator and does a cooler frigerate? I guess that would be the only way it would work. The cooler frigerates it, then you take it home and refrigerate it.....but if that's true then why call it a cooler at all...shouldn't it be a frigerator??

And as for the shelf then it was never frigerated in the first place so how could it be refrigerated when you get it home if it was never frigerated in the first place?

What is your definiton of an ice box...and why does it have no ice in it?? Is that the same as a freezer...which is aptly named as it freezes things?

Nope...don't call fridges ice boxes over here...that's just another case of America calling something by the wrong name...kinda like how you call Rugby Football...

As for the cooler being a cooler and not a colder that still means that if the item has been cooled or even made colder then that must be different to being fridgerated, so if you go to the store, buy something from the cooler then take it home and put it in the fridge, (refrigerator), how are you "re"fridgerating it when it was never fridgerated in the first place...it was only ever cooled or cold by the cooler/colder.

I wonder if William "The Refrigerator" Perry was ever fridgerated...I suppose to be a refrigerator he must have been...then again he was the one who refrigerated so maybe he was never actually fridgerated himself he just went around refrigerating things.
