Another thing i never quite understand is the whole "cult" thing you know?

Like David Koresh was seen as a kooky cult leader, and Jim Jones and the like...which I guess given what we know they were...but waaaaay back when if this Jesus character went around saying he was the son of God and yadda yadda yadda

How did that become accepted by so much of the World's population?

Why wasn't he written off as a kook and dismissed out of hand...what about the work of fiction known as the Bible made most of the planet say..."You know what? There's something in all this."

I don't see it myself.......the day I have some tangible evidence that I can see and touch and feel and that can be proven to be undeniable proof of existence of some super being....then I'll buy it....until that time...no sale I'm afraid.

Actually when it started out there was an underground movement of people in the roman empire that became Christian, and basically the roman leaders got tired of trying to stop them and embraced it (I know there is a whole lot more to it but that is basically what happened) When they enbraced it they made it law you had to be christian, then as they went out bringing civilisation to europe and britannia, they also brought chrisitanity, Which was ingrained in the culture. When the Roman empire fell, the church rose up and became it's own entity, they started controlling kings and queens to the point where the church was running the countries. As people came over to north america one of the things that they had to have besides an outhouse and farm, was a church.

So it basically isn't so much accepted by the christians, it is more like this is the way it has always been and stop asking questions.

Oh and it isn't most of the planet only about 32%

Who would have thought that a question that kinda popped in to my head at 8am after no sleep all night would end up being this educational?

I voted no as there wasn't a "I'm not quite sure" option. Maybe there is maybe there isn't. I've tried readng the bible and going to church and stuff many times a while back but it just gets so repetitive. Im not saying there isnt i just dont know.

For reals I do not believe I lost faith a long time ago. I know lot of things that happen to people are thier own doing but, Why are the innocent and honest people the ones that suffer the most ? As I grow up I see more and more things that just make it harder and harder for me to believe..
I think the reason for the first part is becase theres really nothing else to do but read the bible and go to 'prison church' when your locked up. One of the guards or your PO ask you if you want to go to chuch on sunday and your damn right you'll say yes. Its the closest thing to freedom you can get when your in jail. I took church over 4 walls every chance i got.

For the second part, "Why are the innocent and honest people the ones that suffer the most " i think they're the ones who realize what they have and cherish it which is why they suffer when something goes wrong, where people who are dishonest are the ones who dont care what happens and are glad to get away with whatever they can.

In that sense I ment sickness seems to me when you hear about cancers and diabetes and stuff like that they are honest good people that suffer not the drug addicts and such..... I just notice that around me

And about the jail thing he is in prision and doesnt get to go to church. A chaplain comes to see him . And everytime I get a letter each time he is in there he has found him. But when he gets out he is no longer with him. And this happens alot with prisioners so it is more a joke I was tryin to make. Although your theory does make sense...
have my own little world. But it's OK, they know me here.
