Firewall Trouble

My internet is acting weird. Every time we get on, it says it detects a new network, and I try and set it up but it always freezes, (i use norton btw)...but it works if i turn the firewall off...any idea how i can successfully set up the network to get the firewall to accept it w/o fucking everything up?

personally i like ZoneAlarm but it has issues sometime that you gotta deal with (loves to randomly eat all your memory up)

as for Zonealarm, If I see it on a system I'll remove it just as fast as Norton, Norton is nothing but a huge machine hog, and theri customer service sucks

Zonealarm was great in the win 98 days, but with Xp and their firewall, there really isn't a reason for any normal person to be using it.

oh i totally agree on the system hog part and as for the firwall i didn't really get for that more for the anti-virus part the wall was just a bonus..... however there software to monitor the traffic (vsmon.exe) likes to eat all your memory from time to time and you just close and reopen ZA and it fixes for awhile ( only really a problem if you never shut down)

Toss out ZoneAlarm and any other firewall or virus protection.

Use the windows xp firewall and install AVG for your anti-virus and when you die you will live in a world of millions of virgins all to satisfy you and only you.
