...But I have had to hold a fart for alot longer than 3 minutes...... You know a meeting with my kids teachers and scared to even try and let it out slowly as thats when they end up stinkin

I think you're mixed up.

sustain verb (sustained, sustaining) 1 to keep going

suppress verb (suppresses, suppressed, suppressing) 1 to hold back or restrain (feelings, laughter, a yawn, etc)

So basically he farted for a consecutive time of 2 minutes 42 seconds.
