Fuck me running... I've been busy

Seems like every time I start to actively re-visit the site life manages to pull me away again. I suppose being in my 4th year of college should make me busy, and working nearly full time on top of it doesn't help. I'm on the 5 year plan, but it may be for the best since it is allowing me to take part of an extremely awesome thing this summer.

Which is another thing that has had me running around like a mad man. On June 1st I leave for NYC for an entire month. I'll be at the UN every day meeting foreign dignitaries and other people way more important than me. I've had so much shit to get done though before I leave, including finding a new roommate which isn't going all that well. Hell, just this last weekend was pretty crazy. I went from not owning a single tie or even a pair of dress shoes to owning 3 suits, a collection of dress shirts and ties, and a nice pair of dress shoes. Making the weekend fun though is that I caught a stomache virus from my roommate, in the 5 minutes we actually were around eachother last week, and spent most of the weekend running to the bathroom every 30 minutes. It was a long weekend, I didn't eat or sleep for nearly 3 days.

But that aside I'm exited about this NY trip. Get to spend a month there, 2 friends of mine are going and there will be 20 some other wisconsin kids going too (the program is technically a "study abroad" program, but obviously not that abroad). Going to be a blast.

In more creative news I've been trying my hardest to get my album done. I only record when my roommate isn't home out of respect for her (it isn't a quite process), and this semester she's never not home at night. She stopped going home to work on the weekends and broke up with her BF. And when she is gone I never know if she'll be back in 15 minutes or the next morning. Kind of sucks, especially since I won't be able to work on it while in NY, and I have at least two compilation CD's that are going to feature a track from me coming out in the next month or so. Which is awesome, but hate that I can't have the album nearly done to cross promote.

I'm also starting a new video project, in colaboration with the "movie company" I work with. Making an online video site, think of it as an online tv station. We've got a few shows planned out including both host oriented shows and more scripted comedies, video blogs, and just good old fashioned viral videos in the works. My NY trip and the fact that my entire crew has finals right now makes it hard to get much done, but we plan to start filming in July. Getting a shit ton done between then and august, and then being able to do a few episodes a week and having a buffer of several shows between whats on the site and what we are making so we can even miss a couple of weeks and not miss the show. I will of course keep you updated, especially since I'm one of the host of the news show, I have my own video blog where I get drunk and rant (surprisingly coherant too), and since I'm directing and helping to make every show basically.

Definetly, on the photos and cross promotion. I'm hoping that I'll be pretty much in charge of everything and the guy in charge of the "company" as a whole just gives me what I want, and what I want is a site I have almost entire control over. I just secured an actor for a show we NEEDED a black guy to be willing to do, didn't take much, just told my buddy Juan from work the premise and he was on, but I'm excited none-the-less.

As for tapping the roommate, no. We don't really speak often. In fact I'm not even invited to her graduation party. Living with her for the last year has made her extremely unatractive to me; so while angry bitter, most likely drunken, sex would be fun, it's not worth the preying mantis like after effect.

I'm bringing this old thread to life to say I'm back from New York (What a crazy month that was), will post some photos soon. Also, on the video thing, I was hoping that maybe max or will would post some ideas in this thread on how we can cross promote before we start filming maybe as soon as early next week.
