MTW & Shareapic

So for those that missed or just plain didn't watch my podcast, (fuckers), I figured I'd do a quick little ramble to explain the whole celeb pictures thing and shareapic and also update those that did watch my last podcast as to how it's going as of right now.

First of all, the quick explanation of the celeb pictures part of the forum. Firstly it's intended to bring people to the wonderful world of MTW, and if it takes some celeb pictures to get them here, then so be it. Secondly, by not hosting them here on MTW's servers and using an external picture host, (in this case shareapic), it cuts down on the server load of MTW.

Thirdly...and here's the good bit...shareapic pay us for people viewing the pictures. Granted it's not much, but man it's racking up quicker than I ever thought it would. It's only fractions of a cent, (it actually works out to around $0.22 for every 1000 views), but as it racks up that cash will be used either for MTW server costs or to pay for prizes for the competitions and such...so everyone wins and it takes next to no effort on your part.

When I did the last video podcast, (last Thursday), at that point we had a total number of image views and dollars as follows...

Balance: $ 2.6975 USD
Image views: 12275

...and as of right now, just under a week later it's at...

Balance: $ 6.9557 USD
Image views: 31630

Which is just under 20000 views in just under a week. I think that's pretty damn impressive and we're almost at $7 in a little under 2 weeks.

And here's the even better part. If you post on other forums and want to help MTW make money to keep it alive....if you yourself sign up for an account at Shareapic - The pic sharing site that gives back! and use the following link to do it and therefore sign up as a referral from me, as well as you making $$$'s MTW will earn 10% of the value of all your views for referring you, and as I believe that doesn't affect your income any either, you still get the $0.22 per 1000 views and MTW gets 10% of that.

I'm averaging around 2500 views per day right now so I'll let you know what sort of increase that gives us.

It really is awesome, i was quite amazed when you said this on the blogcast thing. A lot of the picture forums i post on though, will not allow sites like this, as they think its wrong that members get money for pictures. But for a fun site like this, you cant go wrong, and it just shows the amount of traffic this forum actually gets.

Yeah, that's the problem I've been encountering when looking for other forums to post the pictures on.

Only 1 I've found so far is a porn forum that has a celeb pictures section, (it's good cos it uses RS as well ), so there's traffic coming through that site as well, but it's mounting up a whole lot quicker than I ever thought it would.

Just as a little update for people, on the main account that I set up 3 weeks ago I just got done crunching the numbers and playing around with a spreadsheet, (I love stats) and we are averaging 2953 views a day which gives us an average daily earn of $0.65 which I don't think is too shabby at all.
