Pardon my ass, Kill it!!!!

I'm tired of these annual President Pardons The Turkey headlines.

I don't want to turn on the news and see a president pardoning a turkey, much less two turkeys.

This is a former Texas governor. He should never, ever offer clemency to the condemned.

The turkey pardon is pure BS. It is nothing but another way to try and get votes.

How does he think the turkey feels when it hasn't lived up to it's purpose?

How is he supoposed to go back and see his friends. They all think he is dead and devoured?

Don't get me wrong but isn't Thanksgiving a national holiday? So now we need to pardon food? Eating turkey on Thanksgiving a tradition started by our founding fathers to celebrate a good harvest and bring villages together. All of this political posturing and ass kissing to appear politically correct and as an animal lover. We need to remember that turkeys are made out of meat and taste great with lettuce and tomato. We live in a world that is eat or be eaten. The people that complain about the cruelty to animals and that killing them is inhumane are most definately not the ones going hungry.

I don't disagree with this argument.... except for one little factor. Animal cruelty is an issue that needs to be addressed when it comes to Asian chicks crushing kittens and puppies beneath her high heel shoes for the 'WOW' and entertainment value (which by the way, I DO NOT find entertaining in the least). However, killing an animal quickly, swiftly and humanely (if you call it that) as possible for the purpose of sustenance...I have no problem with.

I agree with Recluse, Kill it fast, field dress it, slice and dice and then cook dinner and freeze the rest damnit!
