What I've learned

So the last month has been weird. First off, I was dating someone who didn't know what the fuck he wanted. When I found out he was cheating on me and lying to me, I was floored. Afterall, I did everything in my power to make this man happy. I sacrificed a lot for this man. Down to spending the last of my money just so he didn't loose his car for not making a payment. So of course on my last night there when he threatened me, I decided I wasn't going to put up with it any longer. I mean, I do love him, but there is only so much that I can take and I had been well past my limit by now. I'm understanding to a point, but when you're treating me like shit, sooner or later, I am going to come to my senses and get the fuck out of there.

Since leaving, I now am finally focused on what I need to be focused on. My career, my kids and making myself happy. James and Cheryl have been wonderful. They are the legal guardians of my boys and Cheryl and I have been best friends since the moment we met. So far, they have spoiled my boys rotten and done the necessary to help me get on my feet. I think I got a job today. I was told to come back Monday at 2. It's Pizza Hut, but at this point I am not picky. I can always get a better job later but right now I have two children to support and I don't want to mooch off James and Cheryl after all they have done for me so far.

Let's see what else is new. Oh yeah, I actually have a date tomorrow. He's going to get stuff for dinner and come on over to the house and we're going to make dinner together and watch a movie. (His suggestion) Keep your fingers crossed for me because I need a guy who is going to treat me right.

After everything that has happened in the last week, I must say that the hardest thing I did was leaving Evann. I had to think with my head and not with my heart, which I tend to do the exact opposite alot. But it isn't about me now. I have two little boys who deserve better than what I had at the moment. And anyone that can't accept my boys along with me, isn't worth my time. My whole world revolves around them. And if I am with someone, they better be able to adore my kids as well as me, becuase they are part of the package. You can't take half of a package and think everything is going to work out ok. And if I do decided to start up another relationship, I'm not going to make anything serious until I am very certian that he likes my kids just as much as he likes me.

I do miss Evann though. But at this point, I don't think I would ever take him back unless things changed and it's proven to me that it will never go back to the way it was. I can't handle any more of that shit. I feel like a fool for not seeing it all sooner. But I am glad that I was given another chance to fix everything and do it the way it should have been done in the first place.

Best thing about mistakes. You can always learn from them so you don't repeat them in the future.

sounds like you been to hell and back lately! And it sounds like you have some wonderfull friends Thats awsome of them to help you and the boys out.
