New job!

Well it's been quite the interesting transition from Jewelery store job to now waitressing. And yes, I have waitressed before, but when you are use to sitting on your ass for 8 hours a day at one job. It makes it a rough first day for the next.

Now as some of you may know, I recently got the opportunity to work for Tony Thomas, a restuarant and a very fun one at that! But bein the new girl has it's bad points. It was my second day on the job, still getting to know the menu and some of the little "quirks" and (i'm not sure if that would be the right word for it, but whatever) to certain dishes. Such as for sandwich specials soup goes on the plate and for other dishes like entrees(sp?) soup and salad go before. Anyway, I was bein swamped by tables in a section that I was not even suppose to have all to myself. Bein the new girl and all, I were to have someone helping me! Well just so happen that when my Trainer went on her break, one of the girls was suppose to help me! Uh, yeah right....

Ended up with a bunch of tables and just at the peak of my overwhelming section, I make a mistake. Now I know, everyone makes a mistake, but try telling this to the head chef. Who just happen to yell at me for this one little mistake. and you would never guess what it was...? The table asked for no ham on the croissant cause they don't eat meat. Big fuckin deal right, wrong? He starts flippin out on me and yelling, which most of what he said made no fuckin sense and it was actually kind of funny with his accent!

So today as my official 3rd day on the job....I was given a valuable lesson. Wehn he starts yelling at you and saying you are ignorant and all that shit! Just walk away, or tell him to fuck off like Dog told me to do! Maybe he will get the hint. But whatever! I like my job and the people I work with, except for him

Anyway, I don't know if it made much sense this ramble. Haven't been sleepin to well and I just got home from work! So bare with me

I haven't heard of Tony Thomas before, is it a local restaurant?

No it's a chain, just not sure if it goes outside of Saskatoon, I think it does?! And Thank You Max! You will have to come and visit me at work someday, maybe even in the lounge

Well It not so much I let him give me shit! It's that it caught me off guard and at a bad point cause I was a little stressed, and I'm afraid to admit this! But I actually almost started to cry! But I took some deep breathes and just ignored what that guys said!

I can't count the number of servers I've seen break down and cry. Seen one if I've seen 2 dozen. Job is a lot more stressfull then some people think, especially when you get the assholes (to be fair mostly bitches) who think the job is stress-free so they make it more stressfull by being bitches.

Rule number one, don't fuck with the people who handle your food.
