| Finger Sniffer | Re: Oh For The Good Old Days What the old school "Ask A Question" had over the forumized version had been the hierarchy. It seemed pretentious & that also seemed to help. The reader presumed that their question had been chosen because it was "better than other questions". We were always there to answer them because we knew we were better than them & enjoyed demeaning. Perhaps that was me alone... Nevertheless, I agree with Morty. Things can never be the same. It all depends on the person as to whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. |

Ya, maybe I'll attempt bringing the Submit a Question back. Make all the questions invisible until replied to sorta thing. And make the current Submit a Question actually become the Where Can I find or something. Make a serious, I NEED HELP place and then we can have the senseless Submit a Question. Problem is, I'd have to recreate a team to answer questions and the people I'd put on it are the only people that reply. Maybe let people be team members for a period of time only and we rotate through people. Have to think about this one.

Well I did see on another forum a section where certain members have thier own forums to answer questions, insult people, or share thier useless knowledge. Maybe we go that way for now and see how it works.

The way it used to run was that anyone could ask a question but only the "Team Researchers" could actually reply. So we would be, in no way, ripping off inferior websites out there.

Trinity isn't alone. No what I think killed the submit a question is what you kind of stumbled into there morty, when we went to the forum based submit a question suddenly only active members were asking questions, and the most active members were the team. *Plus it lost the comlete anonymous aspect of it all* Allowing everyone and there moms to submit without even being a member of the forum is what made it work so well.
