Along time ago before electric refrigerators, they put blocks of ice in the bottom of the fridges to keep things cold. That's why they were called iceboxes. My great grandmother would talk about the good ole days, and that was one of her stories.

Damn-it ... I was gonna post what I learned abput the icebox but was beatin to it h well.. as for the refridgertor. I just dont know..it one of those things there will never be a answer too...Kinda like why is milk milk and not pop ???
