Are you Happy?

This brings me to my next question for the older members of MTW.

Are you happy with what your life has become?

Now the younger members can't really relate to this question but they may be able to think about their future and what they want to accomplish.

Your answers should tell us whether or not you have met your expectations for your life or have you fallen short and need to pick up the pace to meet the goals of a Full Life.

I am speaking of your career, family,friends,financial, etc................

No. I was all I wanted to be. But had to walk away from it.

I may not be "old" enough for dog, but i have accomplished alot more than most my age (i am sure over time i will tell some of my stories so watch for them) and have been to what will proly be the top limit and bottom limit of my life and at this point can honestly say that although im not where i want to be (physcally, fincally, relationships) I am happy i have a decent job, my family, and now MTW which helps fill in the gaps that come with living in b!t f!ck nowhere in northern canada

I would have to say I'm about half the way there. After High School I had no clue as too what I was going to do with my self. In retrospect if it wasn't for my brother taken me a side and giving me a bit of slap around and reality checks of sorts I don't think I would have made it this far in life. Growing up I knew I want to have one boy and one girl of my own, and I was blessed to find my wife and complete that goal in life. I have been blessed/lucky in my line of work in getting promoted faster then some. I know no matter what I will have a leg to stand on after leaving the military and that helps me have a peace of mind. I haven't, how ever done what I should have years ago and invest money where I could, but instead pissed it away on dumb sh*t. Got my credit score jacked up and has cost me dearly the last few years. But I'm also happy that I'm finely pulling out of that hole. We are almost about to buy are first home, one of my other goals in life. The one BIG goal I have I'll keep to my self because then every one will really think I'm a wack'o. But that's where I have been failing, school and a plan to complete my goal.

But all in all life is looking up and up and over all that makes me happy. I tend to think that if you have a loving home life then the rest never really matters, and that money isn't really the key to a happy home life. It does how ever help!

Um..... depends on my mood. Like my mood at the moment, I'd say I'm not happy with myself at the moment.

I feel I moved out of the house too soon. It was a happy home and I should of stayed or gone to a 4 year college or something. I think I missed out on making some "life time" friends. But then again, I don't really like haning out with people all the time. I'm good with seeing people occasionally.

I think about 2-3 years before my divorce I was much happier. I felt like my life was taking a good path. Hard to say, and not really answering the question I guess.

I need to get better with my money, but let personal selfishness stop that. Good example would be MTW. MTW costs me alot of money. If I had a financial adviser, they'd tell me to quit this internet nonsense cuz its costing me too much. But at the same time, this costly hobby gives me enjoyment. Some people gamble for fun, other go hunting, some go shopping. I blow my wallet on this fucking computer and my websites.

I want kids, but want a house first. Ask this question again in about 2 years Irondog. If all goes well, after my wedding in October, buying a home next year, hopefully my outlook on life will do a 180.

well being probably the oldest member,i'd say i achieved having a family,I didn't achieve my goal's in work,i'wanted to be a nurse,i never made a lot of money it doesn't make you happy ,it helps,i was blessed with a great friend for 33yr's until her death. but i do have 2 wonderfull son's and a lovely close family and that's all the riches i need to be happy.........

YES !!! I did not have any goals to achieve ... I was a really bad tweaker. So I guess I have alot to be happy for .. I was blessed with two children .. Before I got cancer [most people find out they have it before they can have one] I have a wonderful husband who takes care of us well. And well I over came a REALLY bad drug problem that most people could not pull themselfs out of...I believe it has taught me so much that I would not change any part of my life.... It has helped me to help my children make the right desions!!!!!!

I'm not happy right now...well i kinda am because i did a 360 with my life i got outta an abusive relationship that i was blinded by. met kel had another beautiful baby and slowed down a lil on the partying life...I'll probably be happier sat. I mean I'm alright now but it could be just a little bit better and someone knnows how.

For the most part, I am happy. I mean, my life could be a hell of a lot worse. I could be back in a shitty relationship about to loose my apartment and in a bad marriage so hell, I've learned to live life in the moment because tomorrow may be a hell of a lot worse and there are people a lot worse off than I am.

Career = What fucking career?
Family = Yes...very happy.
Friends = Can count them on one hand but am pretty happy with the few I have.
Financial = I get by.

So all in all kinda...but not really. I was far worse off financially back when I was able to work, but I think I was a whole lot happier then too.

I have good days which are really good....and then fucking shitty ones that a re really, really bad.

Today just happens to be a bad one....maybe I should have answered this on a different day ??????
