Knievel's death was confirmed by his granddaughter, Krysten Knievel. He had been in failing health for years, suffering from diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, an incurable condition that scarred his lungs. Knievel had undergone a liver transplant in 1999 after nearly dying of hepatitis C, likely contracted through a blood transfusion after one of his bone-shattering spills.

As a kid I use to really get excited when Evil was going to do one of his jumps. Seeing how he was from Butte Montana I thought he was pretty cool as an entertainer. Sorry to see him go................R.I.P. Evil

I suppose one thing is true however...we know that he enjoyed life and certainly lived every second to the full...be it entertaining, healing or just getting good and shit-faced.
