How To Start A New Thread....

There are 2 ways to post on a forum. One is that you can reply to an existing thread, and the second is that you can start a brand new thread off yourself that others can then reply to.

This guide will show you how to start off a new thread of your own.

1) First thing that you need to do is select the area of the forum that you want to post in from the forum front page. Is it a joke, an article, a ramble etc? You then need to click on that heading....



2) Now that you are in the section that you want to start your thread in you need to select the "New Post" option by clicking the new post button.....



3) The next screen you will get will be the place to actually enter your post. Probably the most important thing to remember at this point that is different to replying to a post is that YOU MUST ENTER A TITLE for your post as this will be the first post in the thread.



4) Before you start to type your text into the text entry box, NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOUR POST ICON. If you are starting a new thread always use a post icon. The post icon selection will either be below the text entry box or directly above it (depending on when Morty moves it).



5) If you don't know, or can't remember which icon to use for the type of post you are making, simply hover your cursor over the icons and a text box will appear telling you what each icon is for....



6) Simply click the circle next to the icon that you want for your post and it will appear next to the title box.....



7) Once that is done, enter the text into the text entry box as you normally would. Tell your joke, your story or whatever. If you want to check what your post looks like before you actually submit it for all the Twisted Monkeys to see click the "Preview Post" button below the text entry box.....



If you do this you will then see what your post will look like to other MTW members. You can then either add to or edit your post, correct typos etc, or if you are happy with how it looks, click the "Submit New thread" button....



8 ) That's pretty much it, your new thread will then be posted for the world to see, and if you followed these instructions it should also display with the post icon alongside the post title and that is one job that you have saved the Admins and we'll think that you are a wonderful and lovely person.....
