ImageShack images in Posts

This tutorial will show you how to use the ImageShack image hosting service that is integrated with MTW's posting of images within threads. Please make sure you already have your account setup in "Enhanced Posting" mode which it should be by default, but if you have no idea what I'm talking about, double check this thread here to make sure.

1. When you've hit REPLY or you are creating a new thread, you will have the typical message box and if you scroll down a little, below the message box in the "Additional Options" area, you will see a block that says "Upload your images to ImageShack"
   
   
2. To select the image file on your PC that you want ImageShack to host for you, click the BROWSE button, as you see in the image above, and then hop around your PC and find the image file that you want to select and hit the OPEN button.
   
   
3. Once you have selected that file and hit the OPEN button, you will be looking at MTW again and in that ImageShack box next to the BROWSE button you will see the location on your PC where the file is located. Now to get it onto ImageShack!
   
   
   
4. Click the HOST_IT! button and the file will be uploaded to ImageShack.
5. The ImageShack webpage will load up and it will give you various snippets of code you can use to place this image on a forum, MySpace, emails and other locations. For this lesson, please scroll down the page a bit and find the part that says DIRECT LINK TO IMAGE. Should look a little like this following image.
   
   
6. As you see in the image above, the last line says DIRECT LINK TO IMAGE. You are going to want to highlight and right click the highlighted text and choose COPY. (To highlight, with your mouse, "left click" to the side of the text and then while holding the left mouse button down, move your mouse over the text to be highlighted then let go)
7. If you are sure you "copied" that line from the "Direct link to image", go ahead and CLOSE the ImageShack webpage. You should be looking at your MTW page again. (We're almost done, its easy once you do it once)
8. Click and place your mouse cursor in the MESSAGE box area where you want your image to appear and then click the INSERT IMAGE icon which is pointed out in the image below. Again, this is assuming you are in Enhanced Mode.
   
   
9. After you have clicked that INSERT IMAGE icon, you get a pop-up window that is asking for the URL of your image. This would be that line you COPIED on the ImageShack page. Delete the default HTTP:// that you see in the box, and then RIGHT click with your mouse in that box and choose PASTE. You have just pasted the ImageShack's URL for your image.
   
   
10. Now click the OK button and you should now be staring at the image right inside your MESSAGE box area. That's it! Feel free to add whatever text you want and have fun.

Since the upgrade the Image Shack option isn't there any more. Is that a particular MTW tweak that you did and it needs doing again, or is that option gone now?

Imageshack is back on the site. let me know if anyone has issues with it.
