Synopsis: President Ashton (William Hurt) is attending a global war on terror summit in Spain. Thomas Barnes (Dennis Quaid) and Kent Taylor (Matthew Fox) are two of the Secret Service agents assigned to protect him. This is the first action that Agent Barnes has been in since he took a bullet for President Ashton six-month earlier. We really don't know if Agent Barnes is up to the challenge of protecting the President. Shortly after President Ashton is escorted to the stage in the plaza by the Secret Service, he is immediately shot twice by a rifle from a window and falls to the floor. The crowd is in shock and chaos breaks out all over, especially, when bombs begin to explode.

Opinion: Well let's start at the beginning, which is always a good place to start I think. I hadn't heard too much about this movie at all up until I saw an interview with Forest Whitaker about it and it looked pretty interesting and so I thought I'd give it a look...and I'm pleased I did.

Basically it's a jigsaw puzzle of a movie in so much as you watch the first 15-20 minutes and think you know what is going on and then the movie "rewinds" and you see the same events that you just watched but played out from a different perspective, and this is the way the movie goes, you basically get the same events over and over and each time you think that you have a little more information about what is going on....and then you realise that you're wrong.

It honestly isn't as complicated as it sounds and the 90 minutes flew by as it has plenty of action, mystery, car chases, explosions and action to keep you watching and keep you guessing.

It also has an all star cast in William Hurt, Dennis Quaid, Forest Whitaker, Sigourney Weaver and Matthew Fox to name but a few and therefore the acting is pretty much spot on. If anything some actors are probably under used and my only real criticism about any of the acting would be that Matthew Fox is a bit "stiff" but as that's how he is in LOST I'll assume that's just his style of acting.

One review that I read about this movie, after having seen it, was that it was too repetitive...which made me laugh as that's kind of the point. Rather than just tell the story and present you with all the facts in a linear fashion, the film-makers realise that life doesn't always work that way, and sometimes you need to be in possession of all the pieces of the puzzle before you truly know what is going on.

Personally speaking, I really enjoyed this movie as it was presented in a different way to usual and kept the twists and turns coming..pretty much up until the end.

So if you like a good action/thriller that keeps you guessing, then this is one movie I would certainly recommend.
