| Lusting Over Leelee | ![]() Movie Title: Run Fatboy Run Director: David Schwimmer Rated: USA:PG-13 / UK:12A / Ireland:12A / Canada:PG Genre: Comedy Runtime: 95 min Viewed: Sitting in my chair in front of the TV Trailer:
Synopsis: A chunky, clueless guy leaves his pregnant fiancée on their wedding day only to discover -- 5 years later -- that she is his one true love. But in order to win back her heart, he looks to finish his first marathon while making her realize her new man is the wrong guy for her. Opinion: Man did this ever make me laugh. First of all I'm a huge Simon Pegg fan who people will probably know from movies such as Shaun of the Dead & Hot Fuzz. It's safe to say if you liked those movies and the humour in them...then you're going to like this. It's just silly enough, funny as hell in some parts, has it's occasional "touching" moments and pokes fun at all those cheesy moments in every sports movie you ever watched. The plot isn't too difficult to follow or work out, as it's never meant to be in these movies. It's your typical dad fails to live up to expectations, new guy on thee scene tries to move the family away, dad tries to win family back kinda thing....think Liar Liar and you're about there. Just check your brain in at the door and enjoy the movie. The acting is really good as is the timing of the comedic moments and Simon Pegg is ably supported by Dylan Moran (another favourite comedian of mine) and Hank Azaria who is pretty much always good and delivers a good performance here as well....and if all else fails and the humour isn't to your liking then there's always Thandie Newton to look at. I can't mention the cast though without mentioning Harish Patel who is excellent in the supporting role of Simon Pegg's landlord/part time trainer Mr Ghoshdashtidar. So basically if you want a good laugh and have about an hour and a half to spare you could do far worse than watch this. Acting (Scale from 1 to 5): Story/Plot (Scale from 1 to 5): My Overall Rating (Scale from 1 to 5):
