| Lusting Over Leelee | ![]() Movie Title: Whisper Director: Stewart Hendler Rated: USA:R (appeal planned) Genre: Supernatural Thriller Runtime: 95 Minutes Viewed: In my chair on the TV screen Trailer: Whisper - Trailer Download, View Trailers Synopsis: All Max Harper wants is a chance to make a fresh start with his fiancée Roxanne…but a bank loan is not easy to get when you're a felon who's previously been convicted of manslaughter. Max's last resort-and only remaining choice-is to team up with two shady associates hired by an absent mastermind to kidnap the son of one of the richest women in the state. After Max abducts the eight-year-old, he joins Roxanne and the fellow conspirators on an eerie, unsettling drive to their secluded winter hideout, an abandoned summer camp. As they await ransom instructions, the group begins to turn on each other as past suspicions, betrayals and secrets inexplicability come into play. When the escalating events take a horrific turn, it soon becomes apparent to Max that the child may not be the innocent he first appeared to be. Opinion: When I downloaded this I had no idea who was in it or what it was about particularly, I just figured I'd watch it and see where it went. As it turned out it wasn't a bad movie at all, not a great one, but better than some of the crap I've downloaded and watched lately. A few negative points about it are that Josh Holloway is basically playing Sawyer from Lost in the movie, just he's not on an island this time. I mean character wise and acting wise, it's the exact same performance. Another negative is the fact that far too often I found myself comparing it Damien : Omen II (my favourite of The Omen movies BTW), and it even paid homage to that by having someone die out on a frozen lake by falling through the ice and drowning. Plus points are Blake Woodruff as 8 year old David who really does a good job and is a creepy little fucker. Michael Rooker was also good as always, (loved him in Mallrats), but unfortunately he wasn't in the movie all that much. Other than that it's pretty much your standard Supernatural Thriller, you think it's going to be a straight forward crime movie but it takes a different direction and, of course, has a little twist in the tale. All in all, not a brilliant movie by any means, but certainly worth a look if you like Supernatural Thrillers and the like. I can think of far worse ways to spend and hour and a half than watching this movie. Acting (Scale from 1 to 5): Story/Plot (Scale from 1 to 5): My Overall Rating (Scale from 1 to 5):
