I have an windows xp, it usually pulls anywhere between 40kbPs to 42.6. Is that good for this pc?

i bought a headset with microphone for my Windows XP, there's a place on the back of my tower that I can hook up a microphone- would it be alright to hook it into there?

ok- i search the support thing for norton and it said click the arrow beside the yellow pc on my toolbar and it should show view status and it does, but when i click on it nothing happens and there's nothing on support that comes close to telling me what the hell is going on. cablemonkey, i tried uninstall then i installed it it showed in the systray for about 2 seconds then disappeared--now what? :?

I tried that and couldn't figure out what i was doing wrong until my friend came over and showed me that my yellow screen pc is in my tool bar not in my systray like normal people. IS that still alright it's working?
