I'm told it's NY style if it isn't dont complain it's still really good Preheat oven to 300 degrees Bake 50-55 minutes Spring form pan is best however cake pan or deep dish pie pan will do. __________________________________________________ ____________ Crust: 1 1/4 cups crushed graham cracker 1/4 cup sugar 1/3 cup melted butter Mix all above together & press into bottom & sides of pan__________________________________________________ ____________ Filling: 16oz room temp cream cheese 14oz can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle brand type) 3 eggs 1/4 cup lemon juice (lemon juice is my favorite but you can use a flavored coffee liquor if you want) 1 tsp extract is optional-vanilla-lemon-coconut... In a large bowl, beat cream cheese till fluffy (no large lumps) Gradually beat in condensed milk, beat till smooth, Add eggs and lemon juice mix well. Pour into crust and bake |

| Re: newyork style cheese cake
my mom's the one who introduced it to me last time i tried making cheese cake from scratch it was good but god it took forever -this one actaully goes pretty fast--quik easy extremely hard to screw up and damn its good. if you go with the lemon juice definitly add the vanilla the lemon gives it that lil bite and the vanilla smothes the bite so its more of a nip my husband asks me to make it just about every 2-3 weeks it is by far my favorite of the differant versions of cheese cake that I've tried
