Anyways my girlfriend was killed in the same spot as your parents, from a distance and this business card was left on her chest." He pulls a plain white business card out of his pocket and hands it to Jacobfie. Jacobfie looks it over and reads the one word on it out loud " LAYNI". Maximal says "I am wondering why someone so clever and secretive would go through that trouble and then just send out so many men to take us out???? The one good thing is if no one reports the Vanquish it'll take them months to figure out we weren't in the building when it came down. So does Layni ring any bells for you? I have cross referenced it with every intelligence agency in the world and nothing"

Layni..Layni..Hmm, the only time i've ever heard the name Layni was in a gunshop in L.A when the person at the counter hung up the phone as I walked in and yelled to the gunsmith out the back that "Layni will be in at 4 to pick up the Super-light 50cal and that you need to have it properly balanced by then", wait... .50cal? how many of those can there be? especially involved with someone named Layni, I say we head to L.A, it's the only lead we have- Jacobfie brought the Vanquish back into life and screamed back to the NY expressway, heading towards the airport, He dropped Max off saying "we'll travel seperately, you know where my Hollywood hills house is right Max? meet me there in 24 hours exactly" Jacobfie then drove back to Don Lacuno's club, leaving the Vanquish to him as a gift, before getting a Taxi back to the airport and taking the flight before Maximals to L.A International..

As Jacobfie lands in LA he finds out that all flights have been grounded due to a NY-LA flight exploding in mid air, and the reports of the missle hitting it. The news services report no survivors. Jacobfie walks out of the terminal and hops in black mercedes that is waiting for him. He picks up the phone and dials an international number, when the phone is answered on the other end he says simply "put euphoria in action" and hangs up. He reaches into the bar and grabs a cold Stella Artois, and leans back just as he closes his eyes a rocket slams into the side of the car, causing it to flip and roll

Onto its roof, a quick volley of shots is fired as Jacobfie shoots and kicks out the window on the other side of the car, rolling out, he props himself against the side of the car before standing up and shooting the quickly approaching black-clad man in the shoulder and his knee caps as he fell, Jacobfie tried to make it to the man before he pulled the knife from his belt and stabbed himself with it but couldn't, Jacobfie ran, eluding airport security before heading towards the covered long-term car parks, he waits huddled amongst cars parked outside until it is dark and he moves towards the locked door to the covered car park, shooting and then forcing the lock he makes his way into the building, as soon as he steps in the lights switch on and Maximal walks towards him "I had a feeling you might come here Jacobfie", "You know me too well Max, Lets get out of here" the two rush to a car, a Ferrari 575m and Maximal hits a button opening the large roller doors to the entrance of the garage, Jacobfie is quick to have the car running and he and Maximal are soon rushing towards the centre of the city "Its probably not a good idea to go to my house tonight" says Jacobfie "We'll go to seperate hotels tonight and head to my place to clear it out tommorow, no doubt it will be crawling with Layni's men"

Maximal looks at Jacobfie and says "splitting up last time didn't work so well, I know a place we can go" He proceeds to give directions and they pull into a driveway on a quiet residental street, Then they walk the 5 blocks to the house they are looking for, they go around to the back door and Max punches in a combination to open the door. Then when they enter the foyer he pulls on the edge of the fuse panel until it swings out on hinges, after a thumb print scan and retinal scan there is an almost silent woosh and the door to the basement slides open. Maximal closes the panel and leads Jacobfie into the basement, the door closes automatically behind them. They walk down the passage until they reach another door, another retinal scan allows them access into a plush looking apartment complete with monitors showing the whole neighbourhood. Max pushes a couple of buttons and says "this system has been tracking the neigbourhood traffic and people routines for years if there is any change from the norm an alarm will sound. I'm going to crash, choose which ever room you want. There is also a complete stocked bar and kitchen at your disposal. See you ikn the morning"

Jacobfie couldnt sleep though, not yet. He went to the Monitor wall and sat down in a comfy chair and watched. He wondered whos house he was in, and where they was, how long had Maximal had this place, and i wonder how comfortable the beds are here. When all of a sudden

he was being woken up by the smell of bacon and steak frying. As he swiveled the chair to find out where the smells were coming from he could also smell coffee. Maximal was in the kitchen preparing a feast. Jacobfie went and grabbed a quick shower and when he was dried off and had grabbed some clothes that fit reasonably well but weren't up to his personal standards. He joined Maximal in the kitchen for some breakfast. "So Max I have a couple of questions about this place"

"Okay Jacob, Go ahead ask."
"So Max, Who actually lives here and why are their females clothes laying around this place??? I was checking out the old mail and noticed the name Sally.......How long before I meet her? How long have you known about here? And how Long before Breakfast?!"

[Maximal]

Max turned around carrying to plates of food and put one in from of Jacobfie. "How's that for timing. As for the rest of your questions, I had this place built about 5 years ago, there are 6 different entrances so it is easy to leave undetected or in a hurry and it could withstand a nuclear attack. As for Sally she is my head of Security for this site and my office here in town and those are her clothes. She is currently still asleep down the hall.
