When I was growing up in Montana there wasn't much to do other than work on the ranch and think of ways to get into trouble and I think everyone has figured out by now that I was very good at getting into trouble. Well I was thinking the other day about an old friend that I haven't seen for like I guess it's been 20 years now........man time flies by....anyways, this friend lived about 2 miles from our ranch at his parents dairy farm. His name was Jason and Jason was crazier than me I know your sitting there saying to yourself..."Yea right!" but he was. Here's how I met Jason..........My brother and I were riding the school bus home from our first day at our new school. We had just moved to Montana from Colorado and I was in the 4th grade I think. That means that my brother was in 1st grade if my math is correct. Well we came to a stop at Jason's house and my brother and I noticed that our mom was at this house so we decided to get off here and meet this new friend of my mom's. Jason got off the bus before my brother and I did and was a little confused when he saw us get off. Down the hill we went to the house and when we got to the door, Jason wouldn't let us in........little shit!! Anyways, his mom finally saw that we were outside so she invited us in for milk......of course.....being a dairy and all and we all were introduced. Well once Jason found out that we were new people in the area he asked my brother and I if we wanted to go out and ride his 3 wheeler. Does everyone remember 3 wheelers??? If not tough shit. So Jason starts up the 3 wheeler and all 3 of us pile on. Now mind you, Jason was one crazy little shit.....He drove like a bat outta hell all the time. So off we went just as I heard my mom yell at us not to get dirty because we were wearing our school clothes. Jason asked if we wanted to have fun and of course we said YEA! He took us out to where they feed the cows.....it's like a 40 foot by 40 foot slab of concrete with a place in the center to put the hay for the cows to eat it. Well around this center feeding area you had about 8 feet of concrete slab that was covered in cow shit and mud and god knows what........but it was fun as hell to go sliding around the corners on this 3 wheeler going as fast as you can. Well after about 10 times around this slab Jason decides to go even faster and as we were trying to make the 3rd turn we didn't lean quite enough and we slid off the slab.............little did we know that on that side of the slab if you fell off of it you would go down about 4 feet into nothing but cowshit and muck. Yep you guessed it........school clothes and all the 3 of us submerged into the green abyss known as SHIT!!!!!!!!! Completly under.......3 wheeler and all, well actually I think the 3 wheeler ended up on top of us. What a story that would have been huh..... "Three kids die in Shit"........ What seemed like forever, we finally all came back to the surface and yes we were covered in shit. Inside our eyes, mouths, noses, ears...........well you get the idea. All we could do was sit there and laugh at how bad the other kid looked Funny thing was it was about the time we finally quit laughing that my mom called for us to go home!!!!!!! Oh shit.......literally.........When my mom saw my brother and I her jaw just dropped. Jason's mom started chasing him around the yard with a broom yelling at him something about how could he do this to 2 kids he had just met? My mom just grabbed the hose that was lying there and turned the water on and hosed us off.....man am I glad that it wasn't winter time......that would have been a COLD fricken bath..... Once we were cleaned of somewhat....she told us there was no way in hell we were going to get in her car and we stood there and watched her drive away and my brother and I had to walk home. Man I miss the good ole days

About a week ago I aactually talked to my old friend Jason and found out that he is living in Colorado not far from my brother and parents. When I told him about the time we drove off into the green slime abyss of shit we both just about busted our asses when we fell out of our chairs ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It was fun remembering old times with him.
