Legal Drinking Age - Page 3

It's not the age thats the problem, it's the attitude, i know 15 year olds with more sense than most of my friends put together, i also know people over the age of 31 who shouldn't drink!

The problem with alcohol is that it can't be controlled people need to be responsible for their own actions. Lowering the drinking age would be ridiculous i started drinking at the age of 12 we thought it was great to see how hammered we could get on cheap cider. I still go out with the intention of getting drunk but i don't drive. I won't get in a car with someone whos had a drink and have actually taken the keys off someone when i worked behind bar. But people drive like knobs drunk or sobre cos they think it'll never happen to them. The only way to change it is to ban these people from drinking AND from driving... impossible!!!

i mean u cant even freaking walk .....why in the hell do you think you could get behinde the wheel of a 3,000lb machine..its stupid i thik that if you get caught driving drunk you should have your license taken away for a long time if not permently i bet if that law was passed and enforced dumb asses would think twice about.....and they should have to go talk to familys who lost loved ones from drunk drivers... like maximal said its always the drunks who survive.
now i heard the reason for this is when they are drunk there bodys go limp on the impact, where a sober peoples body take the force of the impact directly like when or if they see it they brace themselfs they take a hard impact and a drunk is all mmm whats the word..limp or whatever. i think its sad acaully......that the drunk ass lives and the person just tring to get home dies....hopefully somone reading this post will think twice before they get drunk and drive cause one of us or our familys might be out there..........1-800-YELLOW-CAB!!!

your telling me!! and i dont think that theese ppl looked at the fact that if the drinking age was lowered , not a lot of DDs would be aviable. and that would suck... and the bar drikns cost so much , they dont save any money for the verry expincive cab ride... I think it is just fine 21 and up... we all know how "unfair" it is to wait to turn 21. Just to be able ot go to a bar and drink ( withc i still havent done belive it or not). Just becouse it sucks bein under aged and cant get into a bar to drink it up, doesnt mean the law should be changed , Tuff titty . We all waited to turn 21 to do so, and everyone els can too ( and its not like some kids under 21 doesnt get in bars anyhow...so not much stopping them)

and no i wasnt pointing out to any one yada yada...just my point on waitiing ot turn 21.,.. c'mon there is more better out there than to dirnk a verry nasty tasting beer or a bitter sweet fuck you up fizzer.....

hmm... abolish alcohol? gee, that sounds like a great idea... oh, wait a second *flashback to the untouchables* ... hmmmm oh yeah, it's already been tried. That was actually the root of Nascar; moonshiners racing the cops. hell, one house that we almost moved in to a couple years ago had a hidden room that no one knew about till an inspector found it, opened it up and found a bunch of smuggled alcohol from the abolition era. You can't control a substance that is so widely accepted and has been for so long. It would be like trying to ban... oooh... lets say, Drugs! like cocaine, marijauna, crystal meth, or even tobacco. Some of those are already banned, but I bet it wouldn't be too hard to find some.
Driving is already too dangerous, just because of how many people that are doing it, and really shouldn't be. I don't think you will really be able to stop people from drinking (hell, it's been for at least 3000 years, and many people do it for part of thier religion. I could drink wine since I was

, so if you want to stop drunk driving, find something other than driving for transport.
