I wont! Here's my theroy on this one. And it all comes down to baptism. You pay 200 bucks just to have a preist pour some water that he blessed over your baby and then all the sudden, your child is alright in God's eyes and if your baby dies your baby goes to heaven. Now, excuse me but in MY eyes all babies are innocent. They don't need to be baptized to be accepted into heaven because they haven't done any wrong. What kind of a god wouldn't let a baby into his/her heaven just because the child wasn't baptized?

Merciful god... Enclosed is a file I found rather interesting, if not amusing at some points. In the later points it makes note of many of the violent and deadly acts that this "merciful" being brought down upon his chosen people. My apologies to anyone this may offend, as I realize it is very difficult to accept something ridicules your faith. I would feel the same way if I were attacked for my atheist ways, but I urge you all to read it sometime. My hope is not to sway anyone, but rather to educate. I would also love to read any texts you have concerning religion, whether supportive or otherwise.

You dont have to apologize to me, I wasn't offended at all. As far as your being an atheist, it is only temporary. When we leave this earth, we know there is a God. But it is nice if you get it together before we get there, you dont get any second chances once you get there. I am really not a RELIGIOUS person. I dont go to church alot, theres alot I dont like about it. Because its full of people. When God runs it, it's fine. I've had a lot of problems in my life, I am glad that I know God. I am not attacking you. I dont have that right. Thats God's business. I feel if anyone attacks you, they are wrong. If I was an atheist, I wouldnt want anyone to attack me either. If God wanted to attack someone, He is very able. I'm not God, I have no right to judge. I know you have your reasons to be an atheist. If I didn't know better, I would be an atheist myself. I have lots of reasons to be, actually. Hope I dont come off as too religious, because I'm not. And although I believe in God, you are probably a better person than I am. I asked my dad if he ever knew any atheists..he said he did when he first went into the Army. But when he got into the war in Vietnam, he was amazed that he couldnt find any atheists anywhere. They had all switched their thinking, one even asking my dad to borrow his Bible. Wanted to know what was in it. The guy ended up wanting his Bible and was converted. The first part of my dad's life was an outlaw biker, but he doesnt do that anymore. He still has his Harley and HotRod cars but he doesnt drink or do drugs anymore. He was a tough guy, but he isn't anymore. I know this isn't a text to read, but actual experience. Of course, you know, you can hear anything. My dad has been through alot. He's been in the war, plane crashes, lost his first child, lost his first family...he's had many reasons to become an atheist. But he has been blessed many times also. He is not, however, a religious guy. I've watched my dad get upset many times, but he always goes outside to look at the moom. I asked him why he did this. He said if he ever looked up there and it was gone, we were in trouble. But as long as it was hanging, he knew God was still on the throne. He doesnt understand how its up there hanging without ropes, etc. It amazes him. He knows a lot of intelligent people, but he hasnt run across anyone that can do that. And that they have all the other planets, but they are not conditioned for life. Only Earth is suitable. If we were any closer to the sun, we would burn up..any farther it would be too cold. My dad says he isnt going to play by man's rules. I'm telling you this, because I've actually seen God bless him. I've had doubts myself. My dad is NOT religious..he doesnt even look religious. So, anyway...Didn't stay out of it, did I? |
