hmm... abolish alcohol? gee, that sounds like a great idea... oh, wait a second *flashback to the untouchables* ... hmmmm oh yeah, it's already been tried. That was actually the root of Nascar; moonshiners racing the cops. hell, one house that we almost moved in to a couple years ago had a hidden room that no one knew about till an inspector found it, opened it up and found a bunch of smuggled alcohol from the abolition era. You can't control a substance that is so widely accepted and has been for so long. It would be like trying to ban... oooh... lets say, Drugs! like cocaine, marijauna, crystal meth, or even tobacco. Some of those are already banned, but I bet it wouldn't be too hard to find some.
Driving is already too dangerous, just because of how many people that are doing it, and really shouldn't be. I don't think you will really be able to stop people from drinking (hell, it's been for at least 3000 years, and many people do it for part of thier religion. I could drink wine since I was
, so if you want to stop drunk driving, find something other than driving for transport.
