for the first one I think I agree with smilin heinz, what else is he doing? I think you and your wife needs to sit him down and tell him part time job isnt cutting it- he needs to be getting his GED & further schooling or coming up with a plan to support himself- give him a time frame or limit- say by this date you got to at least be making your situation better.
the second, although I do understand the whole, person coming in and messing with stuff that didn't need messing with situation, you need to ask yourself if you're gonna be dealing with this person again in the future- you may want to say something but I would not do it if you think it may have some bad effects later on.
