Have to reinstall their computer??????

Is that like putting it back in the box, taping it up, then cutting the box back open and putting it on their desk and reconnecting all the cords?

I had an issue yesterday actually. Since the other day I was brain dead and was too dumb to find the FREE version, I installed the "trial" version just so my parents had virus protection until I could mess with their PC again.

Anywho, it kept f'n up over and over and wouldn't uninstall properly. Finally I got smart and went into the PC's system settings and processes. Or whatever its called. And I disabled the AVG stuff that was running. And then I could UNinstall it perfectly, then reinstalled without any issues.

Forget how to get to that point on XP though. I just did it on Vista. Maybe Max can give quick steps to get to that part of the PC's admin controls.
