Ramble A childhood memory

I spent a good part of my childhood growing up on Lackland AFB , Texas. If you go to the back of the base by the water tower, there is Kelly Hill. It leads down to what used to be Kelly AFB. At the bottom of the hill is Kelly Hill Park (called Stillman Park now) Leon Creek runs through it. My Father and I used to fish there all the time. We would catch perch, bass and catfish of good size there. I think some of my favorite times were spent there with my Dad.
Well, one day we were fishing there and I caught a water moccasin in a net. (highly poisonous pit viper) I was rather proud of myself. It was a big snake!!! So...... I pulled it out of the net and took it to show my Dad. My Dad is scared of snakes the way I am about rats.(snakes have never bothered me) He grabbed me and threw me one way and grabbed that snake by the tail. He started swinging it over his head like it was a lasso and threw it as far as he could. I was pissed!! I caught that snake!!! He told me that it could have bit me. I asked him why it would bite me when he was the one that made it mad.
I don't know why I remembered that today. But I have a smile from ear to ear right now.
