Not really a ramble, just to let everyone know that my Granda died around 1pm our time this afternoon.

Even though we all knew it was coming the speed of it all has hit the whole family pretty damn hard.

However, the two things that are most important are that he is now free of any pain and discomfort that he may have been in and the fact that he got to be at home, which is where he wanted to be all along.

It's almost as if he hung on until he knew he was home. He was discharged from Hospital on Tuesday afternoon and was put on a morphine drip yesterday afternoon, he got to be home with my Nana (Gran) and as they'd been married for over 60 years and lived in the same house pretty much for their whole married life, I think that we can all take some solace in the fact that he got to be at home with his wife and family when it happened.

The hardest part is gonna be the funeral next week now.

As so many MTW members had send good wishes and prayers and such, we just wanted to let you all know that it was now over for him.
