Price of a hug
I haven't rambled in a while so I thought I ought to do a quick one considering I acctually did stuff today worth rambling about.
Today was the first day of classes here at UWM. It was also my first day training to be a server at Applebees. My day went something like this:
First class at 9, and had classes (a total of 3) till 12:30. Went to work at my part time on campus job from 12:30 till 1:45. Went to another class at 2, which ended at 3. I went home, played a little sonic on the gamecube (we picked up the classic mega collection yesterday), got dressed and went to work for my first day at Applebees. Oh, did I mention I did all this with a bruised rib? I'll get to that later.
For those who don't know Applebees is a fairly small casual dinning restaurant. I had previously worked for six years at a 500 person casual dinning restaurant. This place seems like walking through thick wet sand it's so slow. I had to spend about a half hour doing all the random jobs in the restaurant, with the obvious exception of cooking, and then got dinner for free. Pretty easy first day.
Now about that rib. So since about last friday now I have just had this occasional wincing pain in my side, right on my left rib cage, and it is affected by how I am standing/leaning/sitting and acctually feels better when iced or massaged carefully. My roommate first thought I had maybe cracked one based on how it was reacting, but we're both fairly convinced it's only bruised at this point. How'd I get it? Funny story.
So I have this friend, very attractive blonde who is like 6ft something. Now, when you are that tall, even if really skinny you'll still weight 150llbs without a problem. This girl isn't super skinny, she's slim, but she does have a healthy amount of meat on her body. She's probably around 180. We haven't seen eachother in months, so when we meet she runs to give me a hug and jumps into my arms. Legs wrapped around me kinda jump, she then proceeds to just go all dead weight on me. Between the impact and the dead weight, she fucking managed to bruise my rib! And of course she did the same thing when I left, once while outside of a walmart after picking up beer, and once outside of the coffee place just cause. Didn't really start to hit me till the next day, but man it really hurts every now and then. I've been a bit of an ibuprofen junkie as of late.
Well that's all I got, got my easy day tomorrow, 2 classes, and probably like 30 mins of work.
