Managers, which for some reason included myself in these cases, were supposed to do the same thing if a server was dumb enough to leave their money laying around. I'd say it's fairly common sense that you don't leave a bag of cash sitting somewhere. I acctually caught a server who left nearly $200 sitting on a counter once. It was a slow night but c'mon, how stupid can you be? One of the managers was right there so I had them do it so I wouldn't be the bad guy.
